Friday Night Review

The all-time record on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile was broken on Friday night when David Byrne of Shullsburg, Wisconsin, wheeled his Winged 410 Sprint Car to a lap of 14.624 (123.09 mph).

Congratulations to this past Friday night’s feature winners Bobby Wilberg (Late Models), Ryan Goldade (Sportsman), Brandon DeLacy (Bandits), and Woody Pool (Vintage). Robert Hansberry Jr. established a new track record for the Sportsman with a lap of 19.617.

It was great to see several first-time drivers joining us this season.

Thoughts and Prayers to the DiMaggio Family

Please keep the DiMaggio family in your thoughts and prayers. Jovanni DiMaggio, who raced in the Bandit division at Madison for several years, died on Sunday.

Great Start for the Street Drags

On Thursday Madison held the first-ever One on One Street Drags with over 70 vehicles ranging from cars to trucks to motorcycles to ATVs taking to the track in multiple divisions.

Thanks to all of those who came out to race and who helped work the event.

There’s more opportunities to bring your car to Madison this season: June 9th, July 14th, August 18th, and September 15th. Pit gates will open at 6:00 with practice and “grudge” runs at 6:30 followed by bracket racing starting at 7:30. Pit passes are $10 and it’s $10 to enter a division…cars may enter more than one division provided they are eligible. A driver who has been defeated twice has an opportunity to “buy back” into the bracket for $10.
