For the sixth straight season the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series will be Powered by Wisconsin Potatoes. Officials from TUNDRA announced Tuesday the series has re-upped with the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association for 2019.
"We couldn't ask for better partners than what we have in the WPVGA," said series representative Matt Panure. "They have been amazing to work with, and have grown by leaps and bounds since we began our relationship in 2014. In turn, they have helped us continue to grow as a series."
Thanks to the partnership with the WPVGA, TUNDRA has bolstered its point fund each season. Last year it gave away a record amount to its largest group of traveling drivers.
"We look forward to continuing to spread the word about the great things done by the WPGVA," Panure said. "If you want to know more, a visit with Jim in the Spudmobile at any of our races is a tremendous resource. We also are looking forward to getting them more involved at each of our events this season."
Ranked third in the nation for potato production, and number one east of the Mississippi, the 140 growers of the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association work together to provide the best Wisconsin potatoes and vegetables for consumers. To that end, they established the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association in 1948.
The WPVGA considers itself to be educators as well as potato and vegetable enthusiasts and ambassadors. Through their own Wisconsin Spudmobile, they teach school children how potatoes are grown, teach parents about nutrition and healthy eating, and bring the importance of good agricultural practices to people throughout the Midwest. The Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers are grounded in sustainability and deeply rooted in providing families across America with the best products available in the land.
