Beale Finishes 6th in IceBreaker 100

Veteran Edgerton WI Driver Casey Johnson can now check the Icebreaker 100 off his list as he captured the 5th annual event on Saturday at Dells Raceway Park. Johnson, started the day off by picking up the DeAngelis Contruction fast time award of $250 and then finished 8th in the dash which is where he would start the event. Rich Bickle picked up $250 from The Don Larson Super Store by winning the Dash and the pole for the Icebreaker 100. Bickle and John DeAngelis Jr would bring the field to green with DeAngelis taking the early lead. As tire pressures build up Bickle would retake to top spot from DeAngelis and then the caution flag flew for an incident in turn four which would earn Cody DeVoy the AA Lock Service Hard Luck Award of $250 but end his day early. On the restart it was Bickle and 2016 Icebreaker winner Andrew Morrissey doing battle for the first quarter of the race as Morrissey would eventually take over the top spot and earn himself $250 from Weaver Auto Parts as the halfway leader of the race with Bickle, Dennis Prunty, Casey Johnson and now Skylar Holzhausen joining the top five who had quitetly worked his way thru the field from the 15th starting spot. Johnson would work his way past Bickle and take the lead from Morrissey on lap 67. The field was gathered by some late race cautions and Johnson would hold the point thru the double file restarts to cross the finish line first for his first ever Icebreaker 100 victory and the $3000 winners check presented by Unified Motorsports Association. Holzhausen would finish second earing him the $250 hard charger bonus from Club LaMark of Madison while Bickle had to settle for third with Morrissey, and Austin Nason rounding out the top five.
