A Big Party Returns to the Frontstretch at Snowball Derby

Dramatic entrances, serious tension, high anticipation, plus fun and games; that's only day one of the 52nd Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. Following a busy day of important work for Late Model teams, drivers, teams and race fans will have an evening to kick back and have a good ole time at an annual Derby tradition, the Green Flag Pit Party on Wednesday, December 4.

Speaking of traditions, the party is also returning to its original home: the frontstretch at Five Flags Speedway.

While there will be no racing or cars on track until Thursday morning, Wednesday is still a busy day for both Super and Pro Late Model teams, with rig parking, unloading, the first round of tech inspection, and the all-important qualifying draw. Following the draw at 6 p.m. CT in the BJ’s Wholesale Club Big Tent, the energy will shift to the frontstretch where the party will begin.

As has been the case in past years, there will be plenty of food and beverages available for all in attendance for both fans and race teams, who you can often expect to drop by and walk among the crowd. Add in a live performance on the PFC Brakes Stage by Muscogee Ridge, and you have yourself one big evening to kick off one of racing’s greatest weeks.

Race fans looking to make the pilgrimage to Pensacola for the Snowball Derby can order tickets for the event now at 5flagsspeedway.com.
