ARCA Midwest Tour Opener to Be Streamed Live on Speed51

For the first time in 2020, the stars and cars of the ARCA Midwest Tour will be in action Saturday night at Grundy County Speedway. The season will kick off in a big way with the 34th Annual Wayne Carter Classic, which will pay a minimum of $5,000 to the winner. While a great crowd is expected to attend the Midwest Tour season opener, those unable to make it to the race track will be able to watch action live on Speed51's Summer Thunder TV for monthly and yearly subscribers.

A yearly tradition on Speed51, Summer Thunder TV allows race fans to watch short track racing all over the country with a monthly or yearly subscription. In July alone, over 20 live race broadcasts -- including the Wayne Carter Classic -- will be available to subscribers at no additional cost.

The Wayne Carter Classic returns to Grundy County this weekend after a one-year hiatus in 2019. Former winners of the race include Butch Miller, Dick Trickle, Joe Shear, Larry Phillips and Ty Majeski. This year, another star-studded field of nearly Super Late Model stars will be looking to add their name to the impressive list of winners.

Defending Midwest Tour champion Casey Johnson leads a list of former tour champions entered for Saturday's race. He will be joined by 2018 champion Dalton Zehr, 2013 champion Dan Fredrickson, 2012 champion Jonathan Eilen and 2011 champion Andrew Morrissey.

Five-time Snowball Derby winner Rich Bickle, defending NASCAR Whelen All-American Series champion Jacob Goede, former NASCAR Canadian Tour champion Cayden Lapcevich, Milwaukee Mile winner Austin Nason and many more will be looking to start the season with a big victory.

Speed51's live broadcast will begin at approximately 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET for ARCA Midwest Tour qualifying races.
